Carlos García-Alix

(Madrid, 1957) He lives and works in Madrid. Since 1984 he has had numerous group and solo exhibitions with different galleries and institutions. Among the most recent are: Viaje de invierno, held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid in 2022 and Algunas noches, Galería Tiempos Modernos, Madrid 2023. His work is represented in different museums and collections: Conde Duque Museum in Madrid, La Caixa Collection, Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid, National Library, Salvat Collection, Cirat Collection...

In addition to painting, he has developed an intense work as a graphic editor: Ediciones Comité Peninsular, 1995. Larga Marcha Arte y Ediciones, 2009. Cristal del Tiempo 2018. Müller 42, 2023. Among his editorial collaborations to point out. El Canto de la Tripulación, Sur Express, Revista El Europeo, Ediciones Libertarias, No hay Penas, El País (Babelia), El Estado Mental, Ediciones Asimétricas, Ornitorrinco...

In 2007 he presented at the SEMINCI in Valladolid the feature film El honor de las Injurias. The film won several awards at national and international festivals and gave rise to the exhibition held in 2009 at the Museo Conde Duque in Madrid.

He is also the author of the books: Madrid-Moscú, 2003, Busca y captura de Felipe Sandoval, 2008 and Bandera de Francia, 2018.
Since his beginnings his works revolve around memory, its difficulty, and its inevitable conversion into myth, into story. This dialectic between
